Our tips

Discover Graz!

Graz - The provincial capital

The vibrant provincial capital of Graz is home to 265,000 inhabitants, making it the second largest city in Austria. Our Hotel Feichtinger is located in the center of Graz. The perfect location for business and leisure.

Incidentally, Graz is the first Austrian City of Design and thus a member of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network.

Lend - the urban quarter

The creative quarter around Lendplatz and Mariahilferstraße is a great place to browse for unusual, unique and beautiful design products. Numerous design stores have set up shop here in recent years – an insider tip for lovers of exclusive gift ideas and design items.

Gastronomy

The southern way of life that stimulates all the senses and therefore also the appetite? The mild climate in which fruit, vegetables and wine thrive particularly well? Or the many farmers’ markets, where the freshest produce from the region is on offer?

The sheer endless range of high-quality gastronomy is simply unsurpassable. Our staff will give you helpful insider tips on eating, drinking and going out.

Art & Culture

Places of interest in Graz do not only mean Schlossberg, Art house or other architecture. UNESCO has decided to include the city of Graz in the international network of “Creative Cities”. This means that the city is now officially one of the most future-oriented cities and metropolitan areas. Only 10 other cities worldwide can call themselves “City of Design”, including Berlin, Montreal and Buenos Aires.

“City of Design” is a living attitude and an expression of an urban culture that sees the conscious design of living space as a central value. In Graz, this can be seen not only in the spectacular architectural buildings of recent years – such as the Kunsthaus, Murinsel, MUMUTH, Botanical Garden, MP09, university buildings and many more. – but above all in the enormous potential of creative people in the most diverse design disciplines.

And should you ever get bored in Graz: there are countless excursion options right outside the city gates and discoveries to be made.

Special: Running routes

There is a little bit of exploration and a love of nature in all of us. It doesn’t have to be a trip around the world for an outdoor adventure. Running shoes and appropriate clothing are sufficient – even without long preparation.

We will soon be publishing all our personal running routes in Graz here. In the meantime you will find here some suggestions and ideas for running in Graz.

Our values

Humanity at the heart of everything we do
Nothing is more important than the people themselves. In order to have a tangible positive impact on well-being and enjoyment of life, we always place personal needs at the center of our decision-making process.

Courage for new things without fear of change
Thinking outside the box is a matter of course for us. We are not afraid to break new ground and let go of old patterns. Creativity, dedication and the desire to make the world a little better every day are our motivators.

Together instead of alone
Every person at Hotel Feichtinger counts with word and personality. We treat each other with openness, honesty and trust. Respectful communication brings us closer together and enriches our personal development.

No “apple-pie” mentality
0815 Standard solutions from the manual are an absolute no-go for us. We act confidently, thoughtfully and in line with the situation at hand to guarantee the best result.

Conscious and sustainable
Conscious and sustainable use of our resources is particularly important to us. All our considerations include ecological aspects relating to the environment, packaging, waste and emissions reduction. For us, organic is not a seal of quality, but a philosophy of life.
